Job SummaryFrom micro-services to the latest web framework, NetApp IT covers a wide gamut of technologies and applications, to deliver compelling solutions for our business.As a Software Engineer intern, you would participate in application design, development, verification, troubleshooting and delivery of a system or major subsystems. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy and driven to produce results.Essential FunctionsParticipate in functional and technical discussions within the team or other groups within/across the Business UnitWrite advanced / complex SQL with performance tuning and optimizationIdentify ways to improve data reliability, data integrity, system efficiency and qualityAssist with development and testing activitiesAssist in organizing and analyzing data for AI/ML initiativesLearn and apply basic programming skills like PythonCollaborate with scientists and engineers on innovative projectsJob RequirementsWork collaboratively within teams to meet goals and high-quality standardsProven aptitude for learning new technologiesFamiliarity of basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practicesProficiency in one more of programming languages (Example: SQL/Python, Java etc.)Creative and analytical approach to problem solvingStrong verbal and written communication skillsResponsibility And InteractionMix of structured and unstructured tasksApply attained experiences and knowledge for solving routine to complex problemsEducationMust be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2026 or later, preferrably pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.CompensationFinal compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors.
