Warehouse Specialist

About the Role:Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring it runs efficiently, safely, and smoothly.Conduct space planning, organize inventory, and maintain warehouse cleanliness.Uphold workplace and food safety policies and procedures.Pay, Schedule & Benefits:·        This is a full-time position.·        The anticipated starting pay range is $35,000-$40,000. This compensation range considers factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experiences.·        Works a variable schedule averaging 40+ hours per week over the course of a year. Weekly schedule typically includes Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm daytime business hours.Key Functions:·        Review shipping and receiving schedule in advance and plan daily warehouse tasks accordingly.·        Coordinate and assist in the management of volunteers in a beneficial manner.·        Track inventory in ERP system.·        Assist in determining supply needs.·        Plan the efficient use of warehouse space.·        Organize, clean, and maintain warehouse area and adjoining spaces.·        Follow equipment standard operating procedures.·        Understand, follow, and enforce personnel and food safety policies and procedures.·        Produce and maintain documentation (Bill of Lading, checklist, etc.)·        Load and unload trucks using a forklift and/or pallet jack.·        Train staff on the safe operation of warehouse equipment.·        Perform other duties as assigned.·        Represent the values of No Child Hungry and our mission.Your Qualifications:·        Must be 18 years of age or older.·        Able to delegate and coordinate with volunteers.·        Able to maintain energy and stamina during 8-hour shifts with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.·        Able to push, pull, and lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly.·        Able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.·        Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-through.·        Able to identify, troubleshoot and solve problems.·        Able to adhere to all safety standards.·        Independent worker that can follow processes, procedures, and directions.·        Flexible availability preferred. Able to adjust work hours according to shipping and event needs.·        Warehouse experience is highly desired.·        CDL and valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred (or ability to obtain one).·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory software preferred.
