SummaryThe Project Management Intern will support the Project Management team in managing new product development and launch activities within a fast‐paced cosmetics contract manufacturing environment. The intern will help coordinate cross‐functional tasks between R&D, Packaging, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and external brand partners to ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with customer requirements. This role provides hands-on exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack project timelines, milestones, and key deliverables for new product launches.Assist in preparing and completing costing documentation and playbooks, gaining insight into financial analysis and cost structures behind launches.Support R&D with the completion of PDRs, offering visibility into product development processes and brand expectations.Participate in pilot runs and assist with production planning activities.Monitor raw material and packaging readiness to ensure timely launches.Attend and contribute to cross-functional meetings; document action items and next steps.Create and follow up on internal project report-outs.Coordinate internal project meetings and track procurement status, specifications, materials, and due dates.Assist with NPRs and post‐mortem reviews.Provide backup support for team members during vacations or holiday periods.RequirementsCurrently pursuing a degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain or a related field.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).Interest in cosmetics, manufacturing, or project management preferred.Benefits for the StudentPractical, real-world experience in project management within the contract manufacturing sector.Exposure to cross-functional collaboration, customer coordination, and daily operational workflows.Hands-on learning across the entire product lifecycle-from development to launch.Development of professional skills in project tracking, financial analysis, communication, and process management.Valuable insight into how project management functions within a manufacturing environment, enhancing career readiness for roles in PM, operations, or supply chain.
