Prep Cook

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented  Prep Cook   to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting cooks and chefs to ensure efficient food service. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen organized, stocked, and ready for meal preparation. Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients Prepare sauces, dressings, and basic food items according to recipes Measure and organize ingredients for daily cooking needs Label, date, and store food properly following food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are low Dispose of trash and keep kitchen areas neat and orderly Support line cooks and chefs during service as needed Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines QualificationsPrevious kitchen or food prep experience preferred, but not always required Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to (X) pounds, and perform repetitive tasks Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed More detail about Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails part of Southern Proper Hospitality Group, please visit
