This role is located on a 20-bed campus in a suburban setting, offering a focused environment within a community hospital.Schedule:Day shiftsMonday through FridayStart date: ASAPResponsibilities:Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and hospital staffCollaborate closely with physicians regarding drug selection and dosingProvide education on medications to nursing staff, physicians, and patientsParticipate in medication safety initiatives and maintain narcotic accountabilityManage patient profiles and monitor for adverse drug reactions, including reporting and avoidance strategiesPrepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements in accordance with standardsAdhere to all state, federal, DEA laws, Joint Commission standards, and internal policiesQualifications:Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience, including work in high-acuity acute care settingsExperience with NICU patients and cardiac cases, including technologies such as Impella and ECMOStrong knowledge of medication safety and regulatory standardsThis contract offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within a supportive, collaborative environment.
