Foundation Operations Coordinator - FT

Under the general direction and supervision of the Executive Director, the Foundation Operations Coordinator provides strategic and operational support to the Executive Director of the SCC Educational Foundation. This full-time regular position oversees daily foundation operations, gift processing and reconciliation, donor database management, board coordination, and fundraising administrative duties.This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial and donor-related processes while supporting fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and foundation events. The Foundation Operations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Foundation, college departments, and external constituents.For more information on the SCC Educational Foundation, click HERE.Essential FunctionsFoundation Operations & AdministrationOversee the daily operations of the Foundation Office, ensuring efficient workflow and administrative excellence.Manage donor acknowledgement processes and ensure timely, accurate follow-up with donors and prospects.Coordinate Executive Director and Advancement Director scheduling, correspondence, and constituent communications.Prepare materials and logistics for quarterly Foundation Board meetings.Assist with pledge tracking and support strategies to secure donations from prospective benefactors.Coordinate foundation events with Scholarship Coordinator, including vendor coordination, room reservations, and catering arrangements.Manage office systems, supplies, records retention, and internal procedures.Donor Database & ReportingServe as primary administrator for the Foundation's donor management system (Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT).Enter, maintain, and audit gift and constituent records to ensure data integrity and compliance.Run queries, generate reports, and provide data analysis to support fundraising strategy and decision-making.Research and update donor records to enhance engagement and stewardship efforts.Financial Management & ReconciliationProcess and record all donations, including checks, credit card transactions, and payroll deductions.Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports and gift summaries.Prepare invoices and documentation as needed.Donor & Constituent Relations* Serve as a professional point of contact for donors, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.* Ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication reflecting the mission of the Foundation.Promote a Culture of BelongingSupport and promote an environment of belonging where all students, faculty members, and college employees feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute. Work schedules (hours/days/work location) are scheduled by Southeast Community College based on the needs of the College. Work hours, shifts, days, and work locations may vary depending on the needs of Southeast Community College and are subject to modification. Emergency or scheduled special activities may require hours outside of the regular workweek.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong financial aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage confidential donor and financial information.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management systems (Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT preferred).Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgmentGenuine and approachable individual who can work with a wide variety of people, including colleagues, donors, and college personnel.Reliable individual who can meet deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities, and effectively prioritize priorities.Team Player who can function independently, as well as cooperatively.Thoughtful and helpful individuals who enjoy supporting others to be successful.Discretion in handling confidential matters.Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone.Ability to use basic computer skills.Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds for short distances and move tables, chairs, and media equipment when necessary.The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or related field.Two (2) years of experience in an office, accounting, nonprofit, or foundation environment.Demonstrated experience working in a PC environment with Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software.Desired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or related field.Additional experience in nonprofit foundation operations, gift processing, or donor database management.Demonstrated experience with financial reconciliation and reporting.Salary$20.11 per hourBenefitsSCC BEN Dollars - Eligible Employees: Full-time status. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.75 or greater will be eligible for SCC Ben Dollars. All employees will be required to elect a health insurance option. If the cost of insurance coverage selected by an employee exceeds the SCC Ben Dollars available, all additional costs will be withheld from the employee's paycheck. Any SCC Ben Dollars that the employee does not elect to use for the purchase of dependent health and dental insurance will be paid to the employee in cash at $0.93 per $1.00 benefit dollar. All amounts paid are subject to withholding for income and employment taxes, but not subject to the College's contribution toward the Retirement Savings Plan - Group Retirement Account (GRA).ScheduleNormal working hours for this full-time regular position are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of a 40-hour workweek, based on a 260-day work calendar. Scheduled special activities, emergencies, or temporary schedule changes may require hours outside of the regular workday or workweek.
