Due to strong demand in the Boston market, we are offering a competitive compensation package and moving quickly on qualified candidates.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipmentService equipment including refrigeration, cooking, and ware-washing systemsRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manualsCommunicate with manufacturers for technical support and parts identificationInstall replacement parts and complete repairs efficientlyComplete service documentation including work orders and inventory trackingMaintain a clean and organized service vehicle and tool inventoryFollow all safety procedures and company standardsIdentify and recommend preventative maintenance or additional servicesWork EnvironmentField-based role with daily travelWork in restaurant kitchens, cold storage areas, and mechanical spacesOn-call rotation required (nights and weekends)Occasional overnight travel may be requiredRequirements3+ year of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or commercial kitchen equipmentStrong troubleshooting and mechanical skillsAbility to read schematics and technical diagramsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordWillingness to participate in on-call rotationPreferred QualificationsEPA certificationCFESA certificationExperience with commercial refrigeration systems or food service equipmentAbility to work independently in a field environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 70 lbsFrequent bending, kneeling, and climbingAbility to work in hot, cold, wet, and confined environmentsAbility to work at heights and on laddersAbout Smart CareSmart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment.
