Position Summary
Primary responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining the store appearance, loading, unloading, and shipping & receiving.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Assist and follow-up with customers to sell products, resolve problems and answer questions.
· Loading and unloading deliveries.
· Stock shelves with inventory, pulling and staging orders and loading customers’ vehicles.
· Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and assist where needed in the yard
· Enter sales orders, invoices, prepare quotes, and customer returns.
· Process payments and deposits
· Coordinate deliveries with appropriate personnel
· Assist in inventory counts and controls.
· Assist in unloading of inbound deliveries.
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
· Ability to operate a forklift.
· The ability to hear customers’ needs and work toward a solution.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively, listen to customer needs, and guide them to solutions.
· Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
· The skill and ability to learn and utilize the computer and Sage ERP.
· Must have mechanical & technical aptitude.
· Ability to learn products and applications.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as pick sheets.
· Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
· Work takes place in a non-temperature controlled building.
· Frequent work performed outdoors, in various weather conditions.
· Ability to lift and carry 60+ lbs.
