Operations and Maintenance TechnicianJob OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Operations & Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our industrial equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a background in industrial maintenance and have experience working with advanced control systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are valued. This is a night shift position working a 12 hr shift schedule of 2-2-5-5 (2 on 2 off- 5 on 5 off) non-rotating.DutiesFollow PM Schedule, routine field inspection of equipment, complete daily site-walk to ensure equipment visual health, completing routine greasing and oil top up runs, and filing completed preventive maintenance work requisition / Job Order completion on CMMS.Monitor and operate plant process equipment in accordance with SOPs and safe industry practices.Collect production data and adjust plant operating conditions from SCADA and in the field to achieve plant production plans and goals. Examples of production data would include but not be limited to lab analysis, plant SCADA historian data, and field logs.Implement all site safety procedures and ensure contractors and coworkers are following safe work procedures and protocols.Identify spare parts, and consumable procurement needs and prepare requisition for approvalDevelop and maintain skills such as using forklift, hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, examining form and texture of parts.Inspecting and collecting information on parts/pipes and other equipment utilizing rulers, calipers, and other measuring instrumentsFollow all safety SOPs and support in fabrication of temp lines, pipes, patchwork, weld / grinding or cutting work on siteProviding cleaning of equipment as neccesaryEnsure all calibration records for equipment are always up to date and kept in recordsInspects and tests eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, and other life safety systems including PPEMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedured, rules, and regulations. Works in a clean manner.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Flexibility in working longer hours/overtime or weekend work will be needed.Any additional tasks requested by Facility Manager to effectively operate and maintain the facility in a safe, reliable, and efficient mannerSkillsAbility to understand and show competency to effectively operate integrated plant systemsAbility to process analytical plant production data to determine correct course of actions in plant operations.Have the ability and capability read blueprints, technical manuals and engineering specifications to operate and maintain equipmentIdentify parts and other materials required to maintain and fix equipmentPerform basic diagnostic testing of pumps, compressors, conveyors, screws, and other large industrial machinery.Ability to check machine performance, dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand toolsTest damaged parts in comparision to specifications. Replace the damaged and worn parts if neccescary.Clean and lubricate machinery including changing oils when required.Listening to equipment to understand variances and possible problemsThis role requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive technical background in industrial operations.
