Regional Mechanical Operations Director
Job Description: Support operating companies (OPCOs) within the mechanical segment by assisting in the coordination, visibility, and improvement of operational performanceWork closely with the Chief Operations Officer and OPCO leadership teams to strengthen execution discipline, support leadership transitions, and improve operational predictabilityAssist SVP Operations in supporting OPCO performance across assigned regionParticipate in operating reviews and project discussionsHelp identify execution risks and improvement opportunitiesSupport implementation of operational discipline (project controls, productivity, planning)Travel up to 40-60%Develop familiarity with key projects, backlog, and operational drivers across OPCOsTrack performance indicators such as: project execution trends, productivity signals, schedule adherenceProvide structured updates to SVP Operations LeadershipBuild relationships with OPCO leadership teamsSupport new CEO or operations leader transitionsAssist Strategic Development Leader in onboarding alignmentParticipate in enterprise initiatives including: preconstruction discipline improvements, procurement strategies, and technology and AI adoptionRequirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or related areas of study or field experienceMinimum of 7-10 years Mechanical Construction experiencePrior experience in one or more: Project Management, Field Operations, Estimating/Preconstruction, Fabrication/PrefabricationExposure to multiple project types preferred (commercial, industrial, mission critical)Broad understanding of Mechanical Contracting businessProven track record of leading projects while maintaining a commitment to Ethics and SafetyProficiency with Microsoft Office ApplicationsExperience with Accubid, Procore, Bluebeam or other construction softwareFamiliarity with construction/financial software packagesMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English and cooperate with multiple levels of customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package
