Job SummaryVolunteers and Fosters are critical to the day to day functioning of the Butler County Humane Society. The Volunteer, Foster, and Adoption Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between these individuals and the shelter, ensuring that volunteers and fosters have a positive experience while meeting the needs of shelter animals and staff. This is a vital role to provide shelter animals the support they need to be successfully placed in a forever home.This position is responsible for recruitment, screening, training, placement, and communication with all volunteers and fosters. This position requires on-call availability for emergency foster questions and event attendance in support of volunteers. Animal handling is frequently required in this role.The Volunteer, Foster, & Adoption Coordinator must be courteous and professional to all staff, volunteers, and customers and observe all health and safety guidelines.
