The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide medically prescribed therapy services to patients in their homes while helping improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct medically prescribed therapy programs involving exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electrical modalitiesApply diagnostic and prognostic test results related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional performanceAssist patients with active and passive therapeutic exercisesRecord and report patient progress and response to treatmentProvide therapeutic treatments and recommend equipment needs as appropriateCollaborate with supervising Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary care teamsPrepare and maintain accurate clinical documentationParticipate in staff meetings, case conferences, in-services, and training programsAssist with discharge planning in coordination with the therapy case managerCommunicate with supervisors regarding patient care concerns or additional service needsFollow infection control standards, OSHA guidelines, and agency policiesMaintain compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and all regulatory requirementsDemonstrate professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer serviceQualificationsEducation & ExperienceGraduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the APTA and/or AMACurrent PTA license in the state of employmentMinimum xaygatp one (1) year of recent clinical experience preferredHome Health experience preferred but not requiredSkills & AbilitiesStrong clinical skills involving neuromuscular and musculoskeletal treatmentsExcellent communication and documentation skillsAbility to work independently in the fieldCurrent CPR certification requiredValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance requiredBenefitsCompetitive payFlexible scheduling401(k)Supportive leadership teamGrowth and advancement opportunitiesState-of-the-art charting system (HCHB)Work LocationField-based / In-Home Patient CareLocations AvailableOpportunities available throughout all Guardian Angel Home Care service areas nationwide.
