Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life., Are you 50+Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child?Join our AARP Foundation Experience Corps tutors at DAVIS ELEMENTARY helping kids learn to read!Volunteers work one on one and in small groups with 1st-3rd grade elementary school students, helping them become better readers and instilling in them the love of learning.Volunteer 4 - 8 hours a week during the school year at Davis ElementaryNo experience is needed - just a desire to make a difference, and a love of children! We provide dynamic and interactive training, and full support.
