Registered Nurse- Dermatology- Full Time

May include variable shifts, weekends, holiday and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned including floating to various units based on identified needs and clinical competency. Position Summary: The Dermatology Clinical Assistant / Registered Nurse supports the dermatologist in providing high-quality medical and cosmetic dermatologic care. This position involves assisting with clinical procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and injections, as well as performing or assisting with cosmetic and laser treatments. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced clinical environment. Clinical Duties: Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dermatologic procedures. Assist the physician with medical procedures, including: Skin biopsies Excisions Cryotherapy Intralesional and cosmetic injections Administer injections as directed by the physician (e.g., local anesthesia, intralesional, or cosmetic injectables). Apply and remove dressings, sutures, and wound care materials. Document procedures, treatments, and patient interactions accurately in the medical record. Cosmetic & Laser Procedures: Perform or assist with cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, and light-based therapies. Operate and maintain laser and energy-based devices (training provided). Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and answer questions about cosmetic treatments. Patient Care & Coordination: Greet and prepare patients for evaluation and procedures. Obtain and document medical histories and treatment consents. Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, and home care instructions. Support the provider in maintaining a high standard of safety and patient satisfaction. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited nursing program Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Associate Diploma in Nursing (ADN)/Diploma RN with a signed BSN Agreement OR ADN/Diploma RN with 5 years of RN experience OR ADN with Professional Nursing Certification Minimum 3 years of RN experience required CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Licensed as an RN in state of practice Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days Other certification(s) per department requirements.
