Barista & Cashier - Brea

We’re looking for baristas to join our new late night barista experience. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, adaptable, and a strong team-player. Our Story Reborn Coffee was founded in 2014 in Brea, California. We are a roastery and cafe dedicated to excellence and quality. Our Reborn Water and special wash process sets us apart from other roasteries, and our award-winning cold brew is proof. Responsibilities Greet customers with a smile Learn menu items and answer customer questions Prepare and serve beverages, syrups, and pre-made food items Taking and calling out orders Handling payments quickly and accurately Using and maintaining different brewing equipment Cleaning and sanitizing for front and back of house Coffee Education The world of specialty coffee is constantly shifting and evolving. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to grow in these aspects: Passion for coffee and the coffee industry as a whole Knowledge of coffee history Understanding of different brewing techniques Skills Ability to multitask effectively Basic arithmetic skills for weighing, measuring, and timekeeping Strong communication and customer service skills Attention to detail Positivity, enthusiasm, and approachability Requirements Previous barista/customer service experience preferred but not required California Food Handler Card High School diploma or equivalent Ability to work weekends and holidays Reliable transportation Benefits Flexible schedule Paid training Paid sick time Employee discounts Compensation $20 per hour Tip : Minimum > $5 per hour Work Environment This cafe is located in the Village at Floresta. The surrounding area features restaurants, beauty stores, apparel shops, and a grocery store (Whole Food Market). Work is fast-paced and requires standing and walking up to 8 hours at a time. Store busyness will vary depending on day, time of day, and season.
