Lead QA Automation Engineer (Selenium & Python)

Overview In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of robust QA automation for web, API, and data testing, building reusable test frameworks and harnesses. You will partner with development to ensure on-time, high-quality releases and guide other testers as a test lead. You’ll shape automation strategy, perform risk analysis, and drive test coverage in an Agile environment. ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop automation and performance solutions with maintainable regression suitesCreate test tools and frameworks with quality code to simplify testingDevelop test plans and cases from specifications and report results to teamsCollaborate with development to deliver features meeting acceptance criteriaAct as test lead, planning and assigning tasks to testing staffReview and approve scripts, results, and defects; ensure best practices and schedulesFocus on Web, Services/APIs, and Database testingParticipate in Agile meetings and reviews for test automation strategyCapture QA data and metrics to inform decisionsEstimate risk and promote Agile testing culture Key requirements8+ years in software testing including planning, execution, and closure5+ years automation testing experience with Selenium (Python preferred)5+ years Agile experience (Scrum preferred)Experience with SOAP/REST services and SOA architectureExperience creating and maintaining automation frameworksSQL querying for databasesExperience with Git or distributed source controlTest data management techniques and defect tracking experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsConfidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive informationKnowledge of cloud tech (AWS/Azure) and testing microservices/containers is a plusexcellent interpersonal and written communicationsproblem-solving orientationdomain expertise and continuous learningSelenium (Python)API testing (REST/SOAP)SQL
