Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and outstanding service experiences. Your enthusiasm for automotive repair and customer satisfaction will drive success in this fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs for service Explain repair recommendations clearly, including necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, auto body repairs, air brake systems, and more Prepare detailed auto estimates and work orders using dealership management software Upsell additional services and maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to enhance customer safety and vehicle performance Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all service sales Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management and customer relations Extensive mechanical knowledge including automotive diagnostics, auto repair procedures, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair Experience in auto estimating software and service writing with excellent attention to detail Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust Strong communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers of all backgrounds Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales processes within an automotive setting Knowledge of dealership operations including vehicle maintenance schedules and automobile sales processes Join us in delivering top-tier automotive care while building a rewarding career in a vibrant team environment!
