Special Procedures Tech Job Title: Special Procedures Tech Profession: Special Procedures Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT / RTR, RCIS Certifications: ACLS & BLS Must-Have: Critical Care / Angio (IR) experience Description: Unit Profile: A specialized Interventional Radiology unit with advanced equipment. The unit includes three Angiography labs, with two dedicated IR labs and one Hybrid OR. Patient ratios are 1:1. Ideal staffing consists of a Lead Tech, RN, ARRT / RTR, and RCIS as part of 3-4 person teams. The type of equipment used includes IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream. The documentation system in use is EPIC Cupid. Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with call responsibilities. ICU/ER experience is required due to patient acuity. Procedures performed include Permcath, Port Placement, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, TVAR, TIPS, EVAR, PE, Stroke, and Trauma care. Dress code requires royal blue and black for RNs and navy blue and black for Techs. The unit is known for its family-like atmosphere and opportunities for growth. The organization is recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center. This role involves working with a high acuity patient population.
