EPC is looking for an experienced Toolmaker/Supervisor to join our team in Leeds, Alabama.
Job Description:
Interface with sales and engineering departments to provide cost estimations for tooling revision, repair and new toll building.
Assist in providing product design and tool manufacturing feasibility suggestions to the customer via sales or engineering. at times, direct interaction with the customer may be required.
Ensure that all tooling modifications are documented in the history file as well as tracking the cleaning schedule of all production tools.
Document on the Mold Repair Order form (521509) all work completed, following the written instructions from the routing, or requests for emergency tool work.
Perform inventory of spare components by tool and alert the engineer of potential risks due to lack of components. Work with engineering and sales to quote spare parts, date code pins, etc to the customer.
Conduct all pertinent preventative maintenance activities on tool room equipment, and seek the assistance of the maintenance department when required.
Contact equipment vendors when needed to price out repairs, or replacement parts and submit requisition with explanation for approval.
Troubleshoot current process for any potential tooling improvements toward the goal of obtaining a robust and repeatable cycle.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Plastics injection molding: 5 years (Required)
Tooling: 5 years (Required)
