As a key member of the Technology team, you will serve as the subject matter expert for the LMS platform—ensuring system integrity, providing advanced technical support, and driving adoption across the organization.This role partners closely with our Learning Product team to translate instructional needs into scalable, effective solutions within the LMS.Key ResponsibilitiesLMS Administration & ConfigurationOwn all aspects of LMS administration including user management, roles and permissions, integrations, and platform settingsManage system upgrades, releases, and patches in coordination with vendorsMonitor system performance, uptime, and data integrity; proactively resolve issuesMaintain clear documentation of system configurations and processesManage third-party integrations and single sign-on (SSO) connectionsTechnical Support (Tier 2/3)Serve as the escalation point for complex LMS-related issuesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to enrollment, grading, access, and integrationsCollaborate with vendors to resolve bugs and system issuesMaintain a knowledge base of solutions and FAQsLearning Product CollaborationPartner with instructional and learning teams on course design and platform capabilitiesSupport development of scalable course templates and structuresConfigure and launch courses, programs, and learning pathwaysTranslate instructional requirements into LMS functionalityRecommend tools and features to enhance the learner and instructor experienceTraining & AdoptionDeliver training for faculty, staff, and administrators on LMS best practicesCreate user guides and documentation for different audiencesPromote platform adoption and increase awareness of LMS capabilitiesReporting & DataGenerate and analyze LMS reports and learning analyticsMaintain accurate enrollment records and support compliance reportingQualificationsRequired3+ years of LMS administration or similar ed-tech platform experienceHands-on experience with a major LMS (Canvas strongly preferred)Strong understanding of LMS architecture (courses, roles, permissions, integrations)Experience supporting technical systems in a structured IT environmentStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesPreferredExperience working with instructional designers or curriculum teamsFamiliarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standardsExperience with SSO (SAML, OAuth) and system integrations (SIS, APIs)Background in K-12, higher education, or workforce learning environmentsLocation: 📍Remote - must be based in the USWork ScheduleFull time role Travel may be required on an as needed basis to campusCompensation: The anticipated salary for this role is $90,000 to $95,000 based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.What We Offer401(k) and Matching: Secure your future with our competitive retirement savings plan.  Comprehensive Health Coverage: Enjoy Health, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family healthy.  Life Insurance: Peace of mind with life insurance options.  Parental Leave: Support for new parents during important life transitions.  Paid Time Off: Recharge with paid time off to promote work-life balance.  Employee Assistance Program: Access to resources for personal and professional support.  Tuition Reimbursement: Invest in your future with financial support for further education.  We are committed to providing a rewarding compensation package that supports both your professional growth and personal well-being.Cotulla Education is a proud equal-opportunity employer.
