Senior Application Developer

Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Sacramento. TITLE: Senior Application Developer LOCATION: 1500 11th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 (remote) HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs POSITION: 1 ASSIGNMENT TYPE: Contract (12months w/ high chance of extension or possibility of direct hire with LA County) TARGET START DATE: 07/01/26 - 06/30/29 PAYRATE: $65-70/hr W2 DESCRIPTION Maintain and support the application environment at the SOS; Define and document business requirements for existing applications as assigned; Develop and test new modules for existing applications as assigned; Participate in code walkthroughs to ensure the program meets the business requirements and follows the coding standards; Provide documentation to support the applications; Participation in team meetings led by SOS contract manager; Maintain change control; Develop and execute comprehensive test plans; Perform complete regression testing; Analyze and resolve functional and operational problems identified by the end users. QUALIFICATIONS The consultant must have experience in developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining solutions using Appeon PowerBuilder 2022 and Oracle 11g. Three (3) years’ experience developing Windows based applications using Power Builder 12.5 or higher. Three (3) years’ experience working with relational databases Oracle 11g; Three (3) years’ of knowledge and experience in upgrading older PowerBuilder code to the latest Appeon PowerBuilder and in integrating Appeon PowerBuilder 2022 source code to run on Windows 11 and Office 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience of familiarity with the business processes or similar functions of the Notary Public commission, Domestic Partner registry, and Campaign and Lobbying registration and disclosure for the Secretary of State’s office will be extremely beneficial. Ability to work independently with general direction. Good oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical skills. Superior troubleshooting skills on server and application layers.
