Medication Administration & SafetyRoutine Dosing: Administering scheduled medications (oral, topical, or inhalants) according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR).PRN Management: Assessing resident requests for "as needed" (PRN) medications for pain or sleep, ensuring they fall within prescribed time limits.Counts: Performing strict "shift-to-shift" counts of medications with the outgoing and incoming staff to ensure 100% accuracy.2. Resident Monitoring & Clinical ObservationSafety Rounds: Conducting regular checks to ensure residents are breathing comfortably and are safe in their beds.Vitals Tracking: Taking blood pressure, pulse, or glucose levels as required before administering specific medications (like insulin or heart meds).Change of Condition: Identifying and reporting subtle signs of distress, such as increased confusion, respiratory changes, or falls.3. Organization DutiesMed Room Organization: Cleaning and stocking the medication cart and ensuring the med room meets health department standards.4. Emergency Response & Direct CareEmergency Protocol: Acting as a first responder for falls or medical emergencies, including calling 911 and notifying the On-Call Manager.Incontinence Care: Assisting residents with toileting or changing to maintain skin integrity and comfort.Communication: Providing a detailed "hand-off" report to the morning shift regarding any incidents or medication changes.Care: Assisting the caregiver with any 2-Person ADLS & 2 hour checks.
