Training Developer II

Training Developer General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Developer to join our Air Systems Maintenance Training Team, working on-site in Palmdale, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement immersive training solutions using visualization technologies, such Virtual Reality (VR), within a pre-existing Unity-based training environment. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and software engineers to create interactive and realistic training experiences for aircraft maintainers, operational staff, and customers. Duties & Responsibilities Design and develop 3D assets, environments, and animations for VR training modules. Convert CAD drawings and models into optimized Unity assets using software such as Blender and PiXYZ Studio Create and apply realistic texture maps to enhance training effectiveness. Develop custom animations in Unity using C# scripts and teak graph. Collaborate with instructional designers to translate learning objectives into engaging visual experiences. Test and refining VR simulations, incorporating user feedback to improve usability and effectiveness. Document processes, workflows, and milestones. Develop and coordinate curriculum, training schedules, and learning aids. Ensure training aligns with technical specifications, procedures, and military/government regulations. Coordinate with internal customers, contractors, and vendors on training programs. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, company policies, maintain safety standards and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
