Project Manager - Audio Visual and Communications Systems

Interstate Electronics Company, a leading audio visual / communications systems integrator since 1964, seeks a Project Manager for its Chicago location.Interstate Electronics Company designs, installs and supports a wide range of technology solutions, including: audio/visual systems, professional audio systems, control systems, nurse call systems, healthcare communications systems, educational communications systems, video surveillance systems, paging systems, networking infrastructure and integrated security systems.Responsibilities :Oversee the day-to-day management and implementation of technology projectsCoordinate project timelines, budgets, and resourcesCollaborate with clients and sales teams to understand the project scope of workLiaise with external stakeholders, subcontractors and internal employees and manage all project communicationsOversee the production of detailed project documentation, including system diagrams, equipment lists, submittals, shop drawings and as-built documentationEnsure that quality control and safety standards are met Qualifications :Associate degree in technology or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferredExperience working in the construction, engineering, or IT industries in a project management or engineering design roleAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordinglyStrong leadership and communication skillsProven business writing skills Pluses :Experience with audio visual technologies, including audio and video signal processing, control systems or networkingExperience with healthcare technologiesA current AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certificationA Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationKnowledge of relevant software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera P6, among others) Additional Information :The position allows for remote work from home one or two days per week.
