All PSOs provide armed security services at designated federal buildings and installations. Position SummarySSA Protective Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of federal facilities, personnel, and visitors. PSOs perform access control, monitoring, inspections, and emergency response while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. Primary ResponsibilitiesSecure federal buildings and government propertyProtect federal employees, visitors, and assetsControl access to SSA facilitiesConduct inspections and perimeter checksRespond to alarms, incidents, and emergenciesPrepare clear, accurate, and professional written reportsLicensing RequirementsApplicants must possess a current and valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Armed Guard License.
