Our Estate Hosts will strive to provide an exceptional guest experience; sharing the Hartford Family's unique story and guiding guests on a captivating journey through our Hartford Court wines.POSITION SUMMARY:As a Tasting Room Host at Hartford Court, you will:Cultivate a positive, upbeat team dynamicPrioritize genuine hospitality and exceptional customer serviceFoster a passion for wine, with a hunger for continuous educationUtilize the ability to multitask, take initiative, and thrive in a fun, fast-paced environmentESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:Include (but are not limited to)Share the Hartford Family story with authenticity, conviction, and connection; orchestrate a quality, memorable guest experienceHarness strategic selling skills; encourage wine sales, club membership sign-ups, mailing list members & brand awarenessProcess orders accurately within POS system; pack & fulfill customer ordersMaintain accurate customer information & update POS as neededAcquire & share wine knowledge with all guests; tailor conversation effectively to the respective audience, from experienced wine professionals to novicesCreate & maintain a customer-focused environment, anchored on building relationships, rapport, & loyaltyHone exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity & consistency, both verbally & in writingUphold confidence & comfortability speaking to varying group sizes and VIPsEmploy technological savvy; troubleshoot issues as neededWash & polish glassware; restock glassware & inventory itemsClean & maintain Tasting Room aesthetic as intendedUtilize organizational skills, attention to detail, & the ability to follow through on projectsAssist with printing menus & collateralAssist with Tasting Room inbox, answer phone, respond to emails & voicemails, & schedule reservations for guestsUphold professional appearance, demeanor, & enthusiasmJOB REQUIREMENTS:Essential Skills, Experience, and EducationMust be 21 years or olderWorking weekends is a mustExperience within the hospitality or food and beverage industryFollow & adapt to all current CDC guidelines to ensure safety of all staff & guests also including CA food safety & responsible beverage serviceHigh School DiplomaPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, occasional events, and some holidaysAbility to sit bend, stoop, twist and walk for prolonged periods of timeWAGE TRANSPARENCY:The base pay for this role ranges from $19.52 - $27.80 per hour.
