Oncor (together with its subsidiaries) operates the largest transmission and distribution system in Texas, delivering power to nearly 4 million homes and businesses and operating more than 144,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas.SummaryThe Distribution Materials Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable material management processes, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and environmental requirements at one or more storerooms with multiple storeroom personnel. Assigns work to storekeepers and contractors as appropriate. Determines and prioritizes which jobs will be kitted or filled internally or externally. Has direct interaction with suppliers and vendors to determine needs. Maintains appropriate inventory levels. Ensures environmental and governmental records are completed in a timely manner and filed according to regulations.This role will be on-site 5 days a week and is based out of our Brownwood Service Center.Key Roles & Responsibilities Accurately completes, files, and maintains required governmental, SOX, and environmental data. Ensures appropriate inventory levels. Facilitates and maintains regulatory records. Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly required tasks are accomplished for all storerooms within their established area of responsibility. Ensures the accuracy of all monthly meters, transformers, poles, capacitors, and store inventory. Facilitates and ensures the accuracy of the rubber goods inventory and ensures the correct rotation of dated stock. Facilitates and maintains the chemical inventory in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Globally Harmonized System (GHS) systems. Must be able to set up and maintain storm restoration staging areas. Facilitates and ensures the accuracy of the Veeder-Root fuel environmental system and the accompanying records. Facilitates material and inventory corrections as notified through Field Inventory Management (FIM) reporting. Must have expertise in Maximo as it pertains to inventory management. Must have the ability to operate from multiple locations. Ensures daily yard walks and forklift inspections have been completed by assigned personnel. Ensures all areas are environmentally compliant. Ensures all projects are reconciled prior to closing. Is accountable for ensuring storerooms are compliant with all established material management processes, SOX requirements, and environmental requirements. Assigns work to storekeepers and contractors as appropriate to maintain compliance. Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job, as well as any other specific job requirements. Skills Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must be proficient in the use of Maximo. Demonstrated knowledge of the Safety Handbook. Must be proficient in the use of the Veeder-Root fuel system. Must be certified in forklift operation. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED is required. 5 or more years of experience in a storeroom environment is required. 2 or more years of experience working in an Oncor storeroom environment is required. Measures of Success Safely completes all work assignments in accordance with company standards, accepted safe working practices, procedures, and within acceptable budget and timeframes. Accurately completes, files, and maintains required governmental, SOX. and environmental data. Properly maintains inventory controls and budgetary constraints as shown by FIM. Effectively works with members of management and other groups to achieve acceptable goals and levels of customer satisfaction. Appropriately represents the company in a positive manner. Demonstrates awareness of conditions that affect employee and/or public safety.
