A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required • Charge experience is a huge plus • Must be familiar with central line care and management • Foley care and management experience required • End of life care and management experience needed • Knowledge of nephrology care including proper dialysis site care • Must understand HD catheter protocols and fistula management for blood draws • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with family and patients regarding care plans • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed • Computer skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
