IRC66982 Parking Enforcement Supervisor
This is responsible supervisory work in directing the daily activities of the City parking enforcement program. Work involves responsibility for the supervision of employees engaged in enforcing municipal and state parking codes, regulations and issuing manual and/or computerized parking tickets. Work requires the ability to successfully communicate with the public in sensitive interactions using considerable discretion, calm demeanor, tact and sound judgment; and working outdoors, including, in unfavorable weather conditions. Work also requires field inspections, audits, monitoring staff productivity, attendance, performance, and customer service standards. An employee in this role responds to customer complaints, appeals, and public inquiries regarding parking enforcement activities. Work shifts will vary and will require working evenings and weekends.
Salary: $27.90 - $43.93 Hourly

To Qualify
Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:
Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver License.
Possess and maintain a valid Motorcycle Endorsement - or - must obtain and continue to maintain the Motorcycle Endorsement within five and one-half (5-1/2) months of appointment to the position.
Have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Be skilled in providing excellent customer service and employing excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Be familiar with street names and locations within downtown St. Petersburg.
Be able to work a flexible schedule including working evenings and weekends.
Have previous experience working with the public.
Be able to prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Be able to supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate parking enforcement personnel
Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Have some understanding of computer technology.
Have previous experience in parking enforcement or a related field.
Have knowledge of parking regulations, citation procedures, municipal ordinances, and customer service practices.
