Recertification Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in affordable housing programs and certifications? We are seeking a Tax Credit/Affordable Housing Specialist to join our busy office and ensure smooth operations related to Section 8 housing and tax credit compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Section 8 recertifications: Handle annual and interim recertifications for Section 8 tenants, ensuring compliance with HUD and other housing regulations.
Work in a fast-paced environment: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy office while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance: Ensure that all documentation and processes meet state and federal affordable housing guidelines, including tax credit regulations.
Liaise with tenants and external agencies: Provide excellent customer service to tenants, address any recertification issues, and work with external agencies to resolve compliance matters.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Section 8 recertifications (both annual and interim).
Familiarity with tax credit and affordable housing regulations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy office environment with multiple deadlines.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, or similar) is a plus.
