Thisis a great opportunity to use your efficiency, knowledge, and problem-solving skillsto help us provide superior truck maintenance service to Malik Lighting Sign Inc.Responsibilities Include:A Truck with Boom Mechanic (often referred to as a Crane Mechanic or FleetTechnician) is a specialized heavy-duty technician responsible for inspecting,diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both the commercial truck chassis and themounted hydraulic crane/boom assembly. They ensure all equipment operates safely,efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, often performing fieldrepairs on construction or utility job sites.Teal +4Core Job Duties ResponsibilitiesHydraulic Systems Repair: Troubleshooting and repairing pumps, cylinders,valves, motors, and hoses for the boom and crane assembly.Boom Crane Maintenance: Inspecting cables, chains, sheave liners, turntablebearings, and welding repairs on boom structures.Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues with crane controls, loadmonitoring systems, and truck electrical components.Chassis Maintenance: Servicing the truck engine, transmission, brakes, steering,and suspension systems.Safety Inspections: Conducting routine and annual DOT and OSHA inspectionsto ensure compliance.Field Service: Traveling to job sites for emergency repairs to minimize equipmentdowntime.Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and partsinventory in a fleet management system.A Truck with Boom Mechanic (often referred to as a Crane Mechanic or FleetTechnician) is a specialized heavy-duty technician responsible for inspecting,diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both the commercial truck chassis and themounted hydraulic crane/boom assembly. Some college preferred.3-5+ years of hands-on experience in truck with boom maintenance and repair.Certified Mechanic-Truck with boomFluency in Spanish and English, reading, writing, and speaking is required.Effective multi-lingual verbal written communication skills.Average computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office. (Ability to quickly learnspecialized software related to the position.)Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong work and prioritization skillTechnical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, andengine repair.Licenses: A valid drivers license is required, with a Class A or B CommercialDrivers License (CDL) highly preferred or required.Certifications: Fluid Power Society (FPS) Certification and ASE certifications(Medium/Heavy Truck) are often required or desired.Tools: Must own a set of mechanic hand toolsPhysical Demands: Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs, work at heights, and work inawkward positions or inclement weather.Leading the way in the gas station industry, Malik is the one-stop shop and partnerswith gas station owners from site location and development to canopy, sign,lighting, electrical, component, and features to meet our customers' needs.
