Tool Mold Maker

The Toolmaker/Moldmaker is responsible for building new tooling based on CAD or detailed prints, maintaining, and repairing molds and production tools.They work closely with the lead mold maker, train technicians and apprentices, and operate all tool room equipment.Key duties include performing mold maintenance, in-press mold changes, and identifying potential tooling issues.The role requires at least 3 years of plastic injection molding experience or a successful apprenticeship, with a preference for Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification.Strong knowledge of mold-building techniques, CAD interpretation skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.Candidates should possess good communication, problem-solving skills, and own their own precision tools.Work may require overtime and adherence to safety protocols, including PPE use.This position emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
