Railroad Permitting Specialist
Responsibilities:Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, environmental consultants, GIS mapping specialists, and real estate coordinators to prepare permit applications for railroad permitting to facilitate construction impacts related to transmission line and substation expansion projectsComplete and submit permit applications, and pursue application through timeframe until permit is issued or authorizedObtain permitting authorizations for all crossings related to linear transmission line projects, including but not limited to: railroad crossings and turnpike crossingsObtain entry and access permitsSupport environmental permitting tasks if requestedSupport fiber and communication permitting tasks if requestedInteract with construction contractors for electrical transmission lines, fiber, road building, foundations, geotechnical, survey, and restoration with respect to permitting needs and have an understanding of railroad permitting complianceSupport Client needs as directedAssist with document researchProvide assistance to client on electrical distribution projects Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related environmental field from an accredited curriculumA minimum of five years of experience with permitting Pennsylvania linear projectsGood verbal and written communication skillsCapable of working with diverse skill sets in fast paced environmentStrong analytical and problem solving skillsTeam player focused on Client serviceExcellent Time Management SkillsWell-organized and able to simultaneously pursue and track multiple project permitting effortsESPO Corporation630-789-2525View all open jobs atLeaders in Technical Recruiting & Staffing since 1965ESPO has a comprehensive benefits package which includes PTO, Group Health and Dental Insurance, and 401k after you have satisfied the necessary waiting periods.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value the benefits of diversity in our workforce.
