Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

A hospital in Pontiac is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant for a Locum to Perm opportunity in an inpatient neonatal setting. This position offers structured 12-hour shifts, collaborative physician support, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. Position: NP/PA Neonatology Location: Pontiac Practice Setting: Inpatient Neonatal Unit Coverage Details Start Date: ASAP Shift Schedule:• 12-hour shifts 8:00 AM 8:00 PM• 8:00 PM 8:00 AM• Requires night and weekend rotation• Average Patients Per Day: 12• Trauma Level: Level III• EMR: Epic• No call required Team Structure • Neonatologist onsite during daytime hours (7 days/week)• NNP/PA works autonomously from 4:00 PM 8:00 AM with neonatologist available on call• Care for neonates up to 90 days old Procedures & Clinical Responsibilities Providers should be comfortable performing:• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation)• Endotracheal Intubation• Umbilical Line Placement• Ventilatory Support Management• Attendance at high-risk deliveries and newborn stabilization Candidate Requirements Board Certified (national certification) REQUIRED Active Michigan License REQUIRED BLS Certification REQUIRED NRP Certification REQUIRED Prior Neonatal Experience REQUIRED (No new grads) NPDB Self-Query report within 30 days REQUIRED Interested in this Neonatal NP/PA opportunity?Send your CV to
