This role supports and develops electrical designs under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer and works closely with designers and senior engineers throughout the project lifecycle.The ideal candidate has experience in consulting engineering, is comfortable performing electrical design and calculations, and is on a path toward Professional Engineer licensure.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and support electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systemsPerform electrical calculations such as load calculations, feeder sizing, and panel schedules in accordance with NEC and project requirementsDevelop design criteria and assist with system selection and layoutCoordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and structural teamsProvide technical guidance to Electrical Designers and support design intentParticipate in schematic design, design development, and construction document phasesSupport construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and field coordinationWork under the direction of a Senior Electrical Engineer or Electrical PEQualificationsBachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience working in an MEP or AEC consulting engineering environmentKnowledge of commercial and institutional electrical systems including:Power distributionLighting and lighting controlsEmergency and backup powerGrounding and basic low-voltage systemsWorking knowledge of NEC and applicable building codesExperience with K-12, higher education, office, or religious facilities strongly preferredData center or mission-critical experience is a plus, not requiredFamiliarity with Revit and AutoCAD for coordination and drawing reviewLicensureEIT certification strongly preferredActively pursuing PE licensure preferredProfessional Engineer license not required for this roleBenefitsMedical / Dental / Health Insurance401k match up to 4%3 weeks PTO Life InsuranceHybrid Email Your Resume In Word ToCarson.Kirk@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
