Automotive Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle quality. The position requires a strong understanding of automotive mechanics, as well as the ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities: - Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnose problems to determine the necessary repairs - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake pad replacements, and tire rotations - Repair and replace components such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems - Utilize power tools and equipment to complete repairs - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards - Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed explanations of work completed and ensuring customer satisfaction - Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and manufacturer specifications - Collaborate with other technicians and shop staff to complete projects efficiently and effectively - Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards - Work on a variety of vehicles, including GM and diesel engine models - Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development Skills: - Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and practices - Experience with GM vehicles - Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace - Proficiency with power tools and equipment - Excellent customer service skills - Experience with diesel engine repair - Ability to align and balance vehicle components - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and repair methods - Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Certification as a mechanic or a willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 45 per week Ability to Commute: Lubbock, TX 79424 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Lubbock, TX 79424: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
