"No job is beneath you."WHAT THIS JOB IS IN A SNAPSHOTThe Painting Superintendent works closely with other SkipCo Superintendent/Employees, as well as the Field Supervisor to support day-to-day project operations. This role is dynamic and hands-on, requiring flexibility to perform a variety of tasks that may change daily. The Painting Lead will be responsible for traveling to multiple job sites on a weekly or sometimes daily basis to assist with tasks as needed. Key parts of this role are maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in collaboration with site leadership and subcontractors. We are looking for someone that is highly skilled in painting and understands the details of painting at an expert level for various types of projects. See the information below for a more detailed explanation of job duties, requirements, and benefits we offer.ZRRequirements:WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLeading, preparing and maintaining project sites, with a focus on painting details and a proactive approach with a high level of quality controlProfessional ability to push a team through a project through the end to meet/exceed timelinesTransport and handle materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites in a safe and efficient mannerPrepare and maintain project sites, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for daily operations to include maintaining a materials list, and ordering materialsAbility to train, maintain and use sprayers, brush and roll techniques and be the painting subject matter expertAssign and monitor tasks to 3-5 crewmembers with minimal supervision and evolving to site needsAccurately track and document daily assignments, contributing to clear communication and project progress reporting to upper managementStrong ability to be adaptable and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentMay assist with light demolition and general site teardown workWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEMust be the painting subject matter expert to include taping, mudding, dry wall patchwork, and caulkingStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of what it means to be a jobsite leaderHighly organized with strong time management skills; able to prioritize and complete tasks independently with minimal supervisionFlexible and dependable, available for night shifts, weekends, and off-hours work as project demandsSelf-motivated team player with leadership qualities and a proactive work ethicFriendly, approachable, and professional demeanor; excels in collaborative, non-confrontational environmentsStrong communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with subcontractors and internal teamsProven background with experience across multiple project typesAbility to handle multiple projects and multi-task individually and as a teamHands-on experience operating power tools, equipment, and other painting toolsConsistently maintains a safety-first mindset, following site protocols and best practicesWHAT SETS YOU ABOVE3+ years of proven experience leading a painting crewDeep understanding of what painting materials are needed and how to use themAbility to maintain painting materials inventory using softwareExperience in basic carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing is a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to work in an environment that requires a strong sense of physicalityCapable of standing and walking for extended periods in various job site environmentsPhysically able to climb ladders, bend, crouch, twist and access confined spaces as neededAble to safely lift and carry up to 50 poundsWilling and available to work off-hours, including nights and weekends, to meet project and client needsBENEFITSMedical benefits paid 70/30 split Employer/EmployeeDental/Vision 100% covered by employer5 Sick Days COMPENSATIONCompensation is commensurate on experienceCompany DescriptionAt SkipCo., we specialize in providing top-quality construction labor to general contractors, developers, and project managers across the region.
