Engineer, Mechanical Integration

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.What you'll do:Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraftZonal management of the digital mock-up for a large section of the aircraftControl space allocation for all subsystemsManage routing envelopes for all subsystemsEnsure all subsystems are accessible and maintainableManage interface requirements models (IRMs) for their zoneManage the top aircraft assembly part number and BOM structureHold regular design fly through meetings resolving any conflicts and maturing the design through CDRManage master geometry models for the respective zoneEnsure all system separation requirements are upheldWork closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure the aircraft zone is designed for manufacturingWhat you need:10+ years of systems or structural design engineering experienceBS, MS, or PhD in engineeringExcellent interpersonal communication skillsExcellent project management skillsExperience working on type certification of an aircraft from start to finish under 14 CFR Part 23/25/27/29 or equivalent regulationsExpert in CAD design and BOM managementBonus qualifications:2+ years leading teamsPrior experience with EWIS or Environmental control systemsPrior experience in structures designShop floor liaison engineering experienceModel based engineering definition experienceAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $225,000- $280,000.
