Licensed Architect

We’re looking for a Licensed Architect to join our Development Services team as a key in-house expert, contributing to a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and office projects from concept through completion.This is a full-time, in-person role based in Champaign, IL, where you’ll be involved in every phase of the process from schematic design to construction administration. If you enjoy variety in your work, seeing projects through from concept to completion, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, this is a unique and rewarding opportunity.You’ll help bring projects to life across our portfolio, from early design through construction, while building your skills and creative influence along the way.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and present schematic design solutions for new construction and renovation projectsCreate electronic and manual graphics to communicate and explore design optionsIntegrate zoning, code, ADA, structural, and MEP considerations into designPrepare complete construction documentation packages for bidding and permittingOrganize documentation to communicate design intent and project scopeSelect materials and systems aligned with project goals, budgets, and schedulesConduct site visits to monitor construction progress and support field coordinationRespond to RFIs and provide clarification during constructionCollaborate with internal departments and external consultantsSupport site acquisition with predesign servicesCoordinate LEED or sustainability design requirements when applicableStay current with architectural standards and emerging practicesExperience and QualificationsMaster’s degree in Architecture and 5 or more years of experience in design, documentation, and project deliveryCertification as a licensed professional is required; Illinois and/or Indiana preferredProficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Excel, and LEED is a plusKnowledge of IBC and local Building Safety requirementsExperience with a variety of project types (office, retail, residential, warehouse) and phases (new construction, renovation, master planning)Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlinesValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sitesWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time, in-person position based in our office.
