Controls Validation Engineer and Robot Programming

*Job Purpose:* Working in close partnership with our customers to solve complex engineering challenges, by using the ingenuity of our people in the application of advanced control techniques. Our Engineering positions provide a challenging opportunity in the commissioning of automated systems. _Reporting to Operations Manager_ *Duties & Responsibilities: * * PLC Programming – writing & developing code: Allan Bradley Rockwell and PLC Siemens S7/TIA Portal * Development of structured ladder logic, statement list, function blocks * Set-up of system communications: EtherNet, Modbus and Profibus * Set-up of drives: AC/DC, and inverters * Knowledge of PID controllers for control of flow, level, pressure, temperature and humidity * Perform testing & validation of hardware/software systems * On site commissioning of new systems both UK and worldwide * Conduct customer training * Development of Robot and PLC software * Remote customer support - fault finding and diagnostics * Be familiar with Risk Assessment and typical Health and Safety Issues in the workplace. * Operate within company procedures *Skills & Experience:* * Experienced in PLC programming – Allen Bradley as a minimum – this is a must * PLC / SCADA system design & development * Systems, Software & Hardware development experience * Knowledge of Ignition systems desirable *Qualifications:* * B.Eng / M.Eng Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic degree qualification * Certified with significant controls experience will be considered *Key Attributes:* * Right to work in US - We do not sponsor applicants for employment visa status * Willing to travel throughout the US & overseas if needed * Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development * Solon Ohio: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Professional development assistance * Referral program * Vision insurance Ability to Commute: * Solon, OH 44139 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Solon, OH 44139: Relocate before starting work (Required) Willingness to travel: * 50% (Required) Work Location: In person
