Warehouse Worker
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution center team. This role involves handling a variety of warehouse operations, including inventory management, equipment operation, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess the skills necessary to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. This position offers opportunities for growth within warehouse management and distribution operations, contributing to the smooth flow of goods from receipt to shipment.
Duties
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
Stock shelves and organize inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and efficiency
Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and mechanical tools in accordance with OSHA safety standards
Manage inventory control processes including cycle counts and stock reconciliation
Load and unload trucks ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements via AS400 or other warehouse management systems
Assist in shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely order fulfillment
Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation
Support warehouse supervision in daily operations and process improvements
Experience
Prior experience in warehouse distribution or manufacturing environments preferred
Familiarity with inventory management systems (such as AS400 or similar)
Hands-on experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers required
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and stock management
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking, picking & packing activities
Previous warehouse supervisor or management experience is a plus but not required
