Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring Technician

212 Environmental is looking for a professional for the role of Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring (OMM) Technician at a remediation site located approximately 30 minutes east of St. Louis, Missouri. This is a skilled, hourly position with an expectation of being able to work independently within a small, focused team. Effective communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to adapt and learn new things quickly are critical for success within 212 Environmental. We are seeking candidates that care about outcomes and want to make a difference each day. Here is what we offer for the right OMM technician: $25 to $30 per hour Company vehicle with fuel card Cell phone reimbursement Tablet or laptop Annual clothing allowance (i.e., work boots, cold weather gear, etc.) Tools and equipment provided First shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour workdays, 7AM-3PM Paid time off Eight paid holidays  Medical, dental, and vision welfare program with Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Company-sponsored life insurance program 401(k) with company match Overtime opportunities available Positive work environment with an expectation of professionalism and independenceThe duties and responsibilities for the maintenance technician include:Operating and maintaining motors, blowers, oil-water separators, pumps, oxidizers, and other treatment system equipmentMonitoring and maintaining recovery wellsCollecting vapor, water, and soil samples for compliance purposesOverseeing subcontractorsConducting preventative maintenance activities with the aid of a Maintenance Manager applicationsStewarding health and safety programsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in on-site settings.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.We desire an applicant with the following skills and experience:At least one-year technical training in maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, and controls Acquired skills necessary to operate and troubleshoot motors, blowers, valves, pumps, compressors, and other system equipmentFamiliar with computer-based applications for system controls, SQL database, and maintenance activitiesProficiency in conducting preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and efficiencyProblem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset to address technical challengesBasic knowledge of environmental systems and regulatory compliance is an advantageProficient with various hand and power toolsAbility to independently lift 50 pounds and work continuously outdoors including inclement weatherPossess or ability to obtain an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Wastewater Operator certificationPossess or ability to obtain a 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification Strong communication and partnership skills to enable seamless collaboration with colleagues and others working inside and outside the project teamAssociate degree or equivalent from a technical college is preferred but not required The right candidate will become part of our team of industry leading professionals and will support our execution at a large-scale environmental remediation project. This position will offer a diversity of activities and technical challenges.Just so you know: 212 Environmental offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including a medical, dental, and vision welfare program with a health reimbursement account, life insurance, short-term disability, and long term-disability insurance; generous 401(k) plan with employer contributions; paid holidays; bonus program; as well as paid time off (for you to decide the best way to use). We provide a company vehicle, tools, clothing, cell phone, and training as part of this opportunity.  212 Environmental was founded in 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio with the vision of developing a team of professionals with the shared goal of offering our clients BETTER solutions to their environmental needs. What this means is we provide industry leading, often cutting edge, remedies to their environmental problems without the significant overhead costs that are common within the industry at large.
