Employee-owned, you share directly in the company's long-term success.Lead decisions on healthcare, education, senior living, and commercial projectsAbout Our ClientThis is a 100% employee-owned, ENR-recognized construction firm with more than 135 years of history, offering team members a direct stake in the company's success and a culture built on accountability, collaboration, and long-term career growth.For a Preconstruction Manager, the company provides the opportunity to work within a highly respected preconstruction group, leading early budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and constructability efforts on complex healthcare, education, senior living, and commercial projects using advanced planning and VDC tools.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesLead all preconstruction activities from early concept through GMP and project handoffDevelop conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimatesPrepare and manage project budgets, cost models, and cash flow projectionsLead value engineering, constructability reviews, and scope validation effortsCollaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teamsManage bid packaging, subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and procurement strategiesIdentify cost risks, schedule impacts, and budget variances; propose solutions earlyMaintain clear communication with clients regarding cost, scope, and schedule throughout preconstructionSupport development of project schedules in coordination with operations and field leadershipMentor and oversee estimators or preconstruction staff as assignedContribute to continuous improvement of preconstruction processes, tools, and standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
