Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to plan, lead, and deliver enhancement projects that meet our quality standards and exceed client expectations. You’ll direct a field crew, coordinate materials and equipment, and use our CRM daily to keep jobs on time and on budget.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead & direct a 2–6 person crew to complete enhancement projects safely, on schedule, and to spec.
Use our CRM (LMN) to receive work orders, track time and material, update job notes/photos, manage change orders, and communicate with the office and clients.
Plan daily/weekly production; coordinate ordering and acquisition of materials, deliveries, and staging.
Operate and oversee equipment: trucks, trailers, skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, etc.
Manage and maintain project budgets; monitor labor/materials and prevent rework.
Produce high-quality installs (planting, bed edging, mulch, light hardscape, grading, drainage, sod/seed/straw).
Communicate with management and clients; flag issues early and drive resolutions.
Coach, train, and hold crew members accountable; model professionalism and safety.
Respect, maintain, and inspect equipment; ensure site cleanliness and a strong company image.
Qualifications
3+ years as a landscape enhancement/construction crew leader (4+ preferred).
In-depth plant knowledge (annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs), pruning, and enhancement best practices.
Proven leadership skills: planning, delegation, training, and performance oversight.
Technology/CRM proficiency (mobile apps/tablets, email/texting, GPS).
Ability to read blueprints/site maps; set grades and calculate materials.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a truck and tow a trailer; clean driving record.
Drug-free; able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Proficient/excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
Industry certifications (e.g., ICPI/NCMA, OSHA-10) and/or bilingual (Spanish).
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, Monday–Friday (year round) with occasional Saturdays.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00hr.
