Revenue and Pricing Analyst
Project Overview
The Revenue & Pricing Analyst supports cost‑of‑service studies, customer rate development, cost recovery processes, and customer savings analyses. The role also assists with major initiatives such as long‑term contract negotiations, supply contract support, billing updates tied to new agreements, and rate‑related project work. Additional support is needed to manage recurring deliverables while the team handles expanded strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cost‑of‑service (COS) studies and commodity rate models for governmental and business customers.
Run monthly cost recovery reconciliations, including Energy Charge Adjustment (ECA) processes, and analyze results for internal and external reporting.
Support rate‑setting activities by performing bill impact analyses, gathering assumptions, preparing rate data, and validating outputs.
Analyze and verify customer cost assessments, including COS allocations and ECA charges.
Validate and issue delivery rates and surcharges for billing.
Develop customer savings and cost comparisons using market analysis models and updated rate inputs.
Assist in preparing COS and rate‑related materials for governance and approval processes.
Maintain accurate rate data in the billing system and ensure consistency across internal and external postings.
Monitor rate filings and research industry trends to assess impacts on customer costs.
Required Skills
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP, MATCH, OFFSET, data imports, and linking to databases).
Basic understanding of the utility industry and NYISO market.
Intermediate knowledge of economics, finance, and accounting.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical analysis.
Ability to interpret financial, market, and utility tariff data.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for explaining complex concepts.
Ability to anticipate issues, streamline processes, and propose solutions.
Team‑oriented mindset and collaborative working style.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math, or related field required.
MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
2–4 years of relevant analytical experience required.
At least 2 years of utility revenue, pricing, or market analysis experience preferred.
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in White Plains, NY 10601
