If you're ready to grow, contribute, and be part of something bigger, you'll feel right at home here.POSITION SUMMARYThe Piping Take-Off Estimator supports the Pre-Construction and Estimating team by producing accurate, detailed piping quantity take-offs that contribute to complete and competitive project estimates. This role focuses specifically on piping systems and requires hands-on trade knowledge, strong blueprint reading skills, and close attention to detail.You will be responsible for reviewing drawings and specifications, understanding project requirements, and delivering reliable quantity data to support estimators in meeting bid deadlines. This is an in-office role that requires strong time management and the ability to perform in a fast-paced estimating environment.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGSkills & CompetenciesHands-on piping trade experience (carbon steel, stainless steel, welded and/or fused systems)Strong piping blueprint reading and interpretation skillsAbility to understand specifications and overall project requirementsFamiliarity with hydronic piping systems preferred; refrigeration piping experience a plusHigh attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and completenessStrong time management skills with the ability to meet bid deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively with Estimators and Pre-Construction teamsBasic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and OutlookQualificationsMinimum 2 years of hands-on piping trade experienceTrade-specific blueprint reading requiredAbility to understand specifications and project requirementsAbility and willingness to work in-officePrevious estimating or take-off exposure preferred but not requiredWHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HEREAt Polk Mechanical, you're more than an employee, you're part of Polk Nation.
