Production Operations Manager (On-Site)
We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Manager of Production Operations to lead printing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing Operations Supervisors across multiple shifts, ensuring productivity, quality, and both client and associate satisfaction. This position plays a key role in translating operational strategy into daily execution, driving performance, and fostering a culture focused on excellence and teamwork. This is a direct hire, on-site position at one of our client's production facilities. Develop and implement strategies to improve Productivity, Efficiency, and Quality (PEQ) Manage departmental expenses including labor, commodities, and discretionary spending Create and maintain capacity plans to ensure client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded Establish, communicate, and monitor departmental and individual KPIs Leverage technical knowledge of print equipment and production technologies to maximize uptime and machine utilization Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members through consistent performance feedback Reinforce a culture centered around operational excellence, accountability, and team engagement Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience 3–5 years of management experience in a high-paced production, manufacturing, print, or mail environment 1–2 years of hands-on experience in print/mail or production operations strongly preferred Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-changing environment Demonstrated success implementing KPIs, improving workflows, and developing high-performing teams Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting Flexibility for non-standard hours during peak production periods, weekends, or critical events Schedule Mid Shift: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM Flexibility required during training and peak production times.
