Position Type:Athletics/Activities/CoachingDate Posted:12/16/2025Location:Cascade Public SchoolsJob Title: Head Varsity Volleyball CoachReports To: Activities/Athletics DirectorJob Summary:The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the athletic program,including coaching, training, and mentoring student-athletes. This role requires a dynamic leaderwith a passion for sports, a commitment to student development, and the ability to foster apositive and competitive environment and build relationships with the community.Key Responsibilities:? Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all levels of the program.? Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.? Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing feedback andguidance to help them achieve their full potential.? Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and trainings asgoverned by Montana High School Activity Association and Cascade Public Schools.? Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personalgrowth.? Coordinate with the Activities/Athletic Director to schedule and manage practices,games, and other events.? Oversee and manage the athletic department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation ofresources, monitoring expenditures, and adhering to financial policies and procedures.? Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to help supplement financialsupport for the athletic program.? Ensure the athletic facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet the needs of the athletesand staff.? Communicate expectations to all stakeholders and student athletes.? Promote the athletic program within the school and the community to all stakeholders.? Provide support and guidance to student-athletes in their academic success andachievements.? Other functions may be required as given or assigned.Qualifications:? High School Diploma or Equivalent? Minimum of 3 years (preferred) of relevant coaching experience, with a proven trackrecord of success.? Strong leadership and communication skills.? Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of student-athletes, coaches, andadministrators.? Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, NFHS, MHSA, and Cascade Public Schools policies andregulations.? CPR and First Aid certificationSkills and Abilities:? Excellent organizational and time-management skills.? Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.? Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.? High level of integrity and professionalism.? Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee regularly works around others, works with thepublic, and works inside & outside. The noise level in the work environment varies but isfrequently loud. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequentlyrequired to walk and stand continuously. The employee will frequently be required to reach withhands and arms; stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee continuously uses hand strength tograsp tools/objects. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision, depth perception, and peripheralvision.MENTAL/MOTOR DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarelyperforms routine work. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (ability to shift from onetask to another). Guidance and reinforcement are usually available. The employee frequentlyworks within time constraints and maintains attentiveness and intensity. The employee is frequentlyinvolved in social interactions which require oral and written communications.
