Coordinator, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) 2026-2027 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; Texas certification in an area of Special Education; Minimum of four (4) years of successful teaching/coaching experience with students with severe/profound intellectual disabilities; Texas Adminstrator/Supervisor certificate preferred; Supervisory experience in Special Education preferred; Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, and cooperating with others. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Probationary/Term Contract: 210 days SALARY $73,199 (IA 4) Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist the Special Education Department in developing the instructional diagnostic approach taken by special education personnel throughout the district. Assist campus principals and assistant principals with interpretation of special education best practices concerning students with special needs in general and special education programming. Works with appropriate personnel establishing district standards for acceptable levels of student achievement in ECSE. Coordinates and develops district ECSE programming spectrum of services. Prepares budgets for ECSE programs. Provides staff development for ECSE staff. Analyzes campus data to assist with allocation of ECSE classrooms, teachers and paraprofessionals support. Provides supervision for the ECSE curriculum coaches Conduct Multi-Camus ARDs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Educational Support Services or Director of Specialized Programs. Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: Repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). Environmental: Frequent in district-wide travel Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
