Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through Amazon’s approved 3rd party Direct Source provider for the duration of the specified project and will not be an employee of Amazon.Description:Need a seasoned PR and communications professional to join our team as a contractor This person will own end to end product launches build and execute media strategies and produce high quality written communications across multiple formats The right candidate moves fast writes well and knows the consumer tech and AI landscape inside and outKey Responsibilities:Product launches: manage complex fast moving product launches from start to finish including developing product positioning coordinating cross functional timelines and driving execution across teamsMedia relation: Build and maintain relationships with top tier tech reporters Pitch stories coordinate interviews and serve as a day to day point of contact for pressWritten communications: Write and edit all comms materials including blog posts press releases talking points key messages and reactive statements. Everything needs to be crisp accurate and on messageStrategic counsel: Provide communications guidance to product and leadership teams throughout the launch cycle Flag risks early Recommend the right approachPrioritization: Juggle multiple launches and workstreams simultaneously without dropping the ball. Know what matters most and act accordinglyBasic Qualifications:7 or more years of experience in PR communications or media relations preferably in consumer techBachelors in Communications, PR, English or Journalism.Proven track record managing end to end product launches with multiple stakeholdersStrong existing relationships with tech reporters and a deep understanding of the tech media landscapeExcellent writing skills with experience producing press releases blog posts talking points and key messagesDemonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous fast paced environments with minimal directionExperience managing multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:Experience in consumer hardware AI or smart home technologyBackground working with cross functional teams like product marketing legal policyFamiliarity with social monitoring and issues managementExperience supporting executive level media engagements and interview prepUp to date knowledge of the consumer tech and AI landscape including current trends key players and emerging technologiesThis posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Amazon.The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $70/hour - $74/hour.Tundra’s benefits offering includes optional medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and a New Child Benefit.Pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants will be considered for assignment with arrest and conviction records.
